Chapter Development & Relations

Join our team as an intern and engage in a dynamic role that encompasses diverse tasks essential to our operations. From conducting cold phone calls and drafting concise emails to facilitating meetings and documenting minutes with precision, you will play a crucial part in our daily endeavors. Beyond your assigned duties, we are dedicated to fostering your personal and professional growth, offering mentorship and opportunities for development. Content Development

The Content Development department is looking for a detail-oriented intern to join our team, with a commitment of 8-10 hours per week. The intern will be responsible for uploading book content to our publishing website, copy-editing books and articles to ensure they meet our quality standards, and preparing Kindle e-books from existing print and PDF formats. Additionally, the role includes improving the invoicing workflow to enhance efficiency and developing marketing materials for an upcoming book launch. This internship offers a hands-on experience in the publishing process, providing valuable skills in content management, editing, and digital marketing.

PACE

The PACE department is seeking a dedicated intern to assist with various initiatives, with a weekly time commitment of 1-3 hours. The intern will provide vital administrative support for PACE campaigns, including attending coalition meetings and taking detailed notes. Responsibilities also include contributing to the development of toolkits and other resources to support our advocacy efforts. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into coalition building and campaign management while making a meaningful impact on our initiatives.

Tarbiya & Youth Ministry

The Tarbiya department is looking for a dedicated intern to contribute to several key projects, with a weekly time commitment of 5-7 hours. The intern will work on the Pathways Project, and assist in compiling information for the Speaker Bureau. Each project comes with clearly defined tasks, offering the intern an opportunity to develop project management skills, gain experience in data collection and organization, and support our educational initiatives. This role is ideal for someone passionate about education and community development.

Marketing

The Marketing department is seeking a proactive intern to join our team, with a commitment of 8-10 hours per week. The intern will maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent posting and coordination across platforms, conduct competitor analysis to identify strategic opportunities, and track and report on social media metrics to evaluate campaign success. Additionally, the intern will collect and organize customer testimonials and case studies for marketing materials. Pursuing marketing certifications such as Google Analytics or HubSpot is encouraged. Graphic design expertise, especially using Canva, is a plus. This role offers valuable experience in various aspects of marketing, from strategy to execution.

Fundraising

The Fundraising department is looking for a detail-oriented intern to join our team, with a commitment of 8-10 hours per week. The intern will focus on the collection and cleanup of our Masjid database, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of our records and supporting our fundraising efforts. It’s a great opportunity to gain experience in data management and contribute to our mission in a meaningful way.

Operations

The Operations department is seeking a motivated intern with a commitment of 5-7 hours per week. The intern will reach out to inactive members to reactivate their membership, document meeting notes, and assign tasks and reminders. Additional responsibilities include managing the calendar and confirming scheduled attendance, collecting data via surveys for reports, and engaging with other directors to follow up on task deadlines. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop communication, organizational, and administrative skills while contributing to our membership engagement efforts.
