Established in 1993 as a non-profit 501(C)(3) organization, the Muslim American Society (MAS) is a dynamic charitable, religious, social, cultural, and educational, organization. We offer unique programs and services that seek to better the individual and in turn the wider public by imparting Islamic knowledge, promoting community service, engaging in political activism, and much more.

At the Muslim American Society, our five impact areas—Islam to Muslims, Leadership Development, Community Mobilization, Social Justice, and Islam to Non‑Muslims—guide all that we do. Together they form an integrated mission: we strive to nurture a balanced and living understanding of Islam for Muslims in America, raise up leaders equipped for sustained Islamic service, activate communities around prophetic principles and shared purpose, champion justice and equity in society, and engage non‑Muslims with clarity and compassion about Islam as a God‑centered way of life. Our work is one mission, expressed through these five paths and our mission to nurture people and inspire change.
Nurture People Inspire Change
Focusing on the personal development of individuals through a comprehensive Islamic educational curriculum, MAS promotes active involvement in communities across the U.S. by providing opportunities for community service, interfaith initiatives, youth programs, and civic engagement. By cooperating and collaborating with other organizations, MAS has expanded its reach into hundreds of communities across the United States.
