Join us for a one-of-kind conference of Tarbiya, PACE, youth leaders and activists.
Join us on Labor Day weekend for our second annual MAS Summit in Phoenix, Arizona, with this year’s theme: Unity through Community: Holding onto the Rope of Allah.
The summit will start Friday, September 1st, at 5 PM and end Monday, September 4th at 2 PM MST.
Chapter leadership and executive directors, tarbiya directors and mentors, youth directors and youth workers, and PACE directors and activists are invited to join us as we work together to align our local work and bring our organization and movement to the next level. This summit will give you the opportunity to network, organize, train, and enjoy each other’s company.
You can look forward to in-depth tracks, cross-departmental collaborative workshops, and incredible networking opportunities to gain maximum benefit from the expertise of peers and MAS leaders.

For tarbiya directors and mentors
This track is designed for tarbiya directors and tarbiya mentors. The goal is to engage in discussions and training workshops to improve our delivery and skills of the tarbiya objectives to the next generation of MAS Members and leaders.
PACE
For potential Activists
Join PACE to receive training on community organizing, political advocacy through a grounded Islamic approach. Learn to tell your story and work for justice together.
AYM
For youth directors, workers, and mentors
To further enhance your skill set as a youth worker while networking and connecting with youth workers across the country.
STRATEGY

A joint track with all leadership (including chapter leaders, tarbiya directors, youth directors, and PACE directors) in which we will delve deep into our organizational alignment and plan together to ensure that the hard work on the ground is strategically moving us forward as an organization that depends on the strength and success of it’s chapters.

How do the hotel pricing and breakfast work?
Nightly rate is $109 + tax and only includes breakfast for 1 person. If booking for more than 1 person/room, the additional $10/person/breakfast will be paid at check in
If my spouse and I are attending, how do we register and book our hotel? Can I bring my kids?
- Every registrant (summit registration and childcare registration) must register and can be done on one form- masnational.org/s23
- If coming with family/friends, you are able to have 4 people to 1 room and select double queens.
- Anyone not registered in summit registration or childcare will not receive lunch/dinner for the weekend. MAS is also not responsible for individuals not attending either programs.
Which airport do we fly to?
Airport Code: PHX (Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport)
Free shuttle to and from the hotel is offered from 6 AM-11PM and the shuttle runs every 30 mins based on demand.
Is this summit open to the general public? Who should attend these events?
Yes, however the summit is dedicated towards Chapter leadership, youth department leadership, and volunteers, Tarbiya department leadership and volunteers, PACE department leadership and volunteers. Any MAS member interested in leadership.
Is Friday a light day, would it be acceptable to skip it?
We try our very best to make every minute count! However, we understand there may be some that are unable to attend the full-time. Friday night includes mostly getting to know others from other chapters and warm welcomes. Arriving Friday night also allows time to rest and start refreshed on Saturday for a packed weekend of training, learning and skill-building.
What time should we arrive/leave?
The summit will start Friday, September 1st, at 5 PM and end Monday, September 4th at 2 PM MST. Registration begins at 2pm, hotel check in at 4pm.
If I arrive earlier Friday, will there be Jumuaa?
Those who arrive earlier, there will be jumuaa at 2pm in the prayer room (more information will be sent closer to the event dates)
What time is breakfast?
Breakfast vouchers are only available for those who stay at the hotel for $10/person (included for first person per hotel room). Breakfast: Mon–Fri: 6:30–9 a.m., Sat–Sun: 6:30–10 a.m.}

What does Childcare include?
Childcare is provided for ages 6 months to 12 years with limited spots. Registration is on the same page as summit registration

Depending on age, the proper adult/child ratio will be present with a program that will include fun activities.
Can I have meals with my child?
Meal times will be around the same times. While we encourage to take advantage of networking with meals, we also value family time. Parents are able to eat meals with their children, more information will be shared as we get closer to the summit and finalize.
