What is Tarbiya Annual Meeting (TAM)
TAM is a weekend long intensive training and networking event that is designed to take tarbiya leads, mentors, usra leaders and halaqa leaders, as well as chapter executives- to empower them with the latest tools, knowledge and relationships to be agents of positive change in their communities. MAS has over 30 years of experience in mobilizing muslims to reach their highest effective potential through our Tarbiya model.
What are the important steps to registering?
- Register: MASnational.org/TAM
- Connect with your Chapter Head to see if the chapter will attend as a group
- Confirm and Book your Mode of Travel (Bus, Plane, Train or Car)
- If Applicable, confirm your independent sleeping arrangements
How much should I budget for TAM?
- Registration Fee: $75 for MAS members, $175 for non–members
- Childcare: $75 per child, ages 2-12, limited spots. Food and activities will be provided for youth throughout the conference during sessions.
- Food: All meals are included in your registration, but feel free to explore the food scene in the city if you arrive early Friday or stay after on Sunday.
- Hotel Rates: For those interested, $120-180 a night, depending on your region of choice.
If my spouse and I are attending, how do we register? Can I bring my kids?
- Every attendee (TAM registrants and childcare registrants) must register.
MASNational.org/TAM - Anyone who has not registered via the TAM registration and/or childcare registration link will not be included in the meals and program for the weekend.
If I’m flying in, which airport should I fly into?
Dallas – DFW (Dallas Forth Worth Airport) or (Dallas Love Field)
Los Angeles – TBA
Will there be an airport shuttle?
No, every attendee flying in is in charge of their own commute to the site.
Are the sleeping arrangements included?
Arranging accommodations is the responsibility of each attendee.
Is Friday a light day, would it be acceptable to skip it?
Friday Night is the night that we kickoff the track sessions, so skipping it would make it hard to keep up with Saturday’s programs. We’ve made the start time a bit later on Friday to give you ample time to arrive and join us for a jam-packed weekend of learning and leading.
What time should we arrive/leave?
TAM will start on Friday at 5:30 PM and end on Sunday at 2:30 PM.
If I arrive earlier Friday, will there be Jumuaa?
Yes! The center prays at 1:30 pm
What does the registration include?
TAM Registration includes:

What does Childcare include?
Childcare is provided for ages 2 years to 12 years with limited spots.
